Ya know...its wonderful how we praise and honor those who fought in our wars and returned! They returned heroes. But its pretty sad how we forget about the other heroes who are missing. There are over 2000+ servicemen who were sent over to alien countries and never returned. Some may have been killed but some were taken prisoner and are still being held prisoner to this day! I adopted one of these servicemen and I am going to fight until the day he is brought justice!

50,000 Names

There's teddy bears and high school rings,
And old photographs that Mamas bring,
And Daddies with their young boys playing ball.
There's combat boots - he used to wear,
When he was sent over there,
And 50,000 names carved in THE WALL.

There's cigarettes and cans of beer.
And notes that say "I miss you dear,"
And children who don't say anything at all,
Purple hearts and packs of gum,
Fatherless daughters and fatherless sons,
And there's 50,000 names carverd in THE WALL.

They come from all across this land,
In pick-up trucks and mini-vans,
Searching for a boy from long ago.
They scan the wall and find his name,
Teardrops fall like pouring rain,
And silently they leave their gifts and go.

There's stars of David and rosary beads,
And crucifixion figurines,
And flowers of all colors large and small.
There's boy scout badges and merit pins,
Little American flags waving in the wind,
And there's 50,000 names carved in THE WALL.

There is alot of people all over the United States fighting to get these men and women home and to give their families a little bit of closure. I am proud to say that I am now one of them. I will fight for as long as it takes! I made a promise to!
